What you need to know about the Placer County Fair

The Placer County Fair kicks off on Thursday, June 20 and ends on Sunday, June 23.

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — The Placer County Fair is breaking records for its 82nd anniversary — with the most submissions ever on display in the Still Exhibits Hall. The hall displays local works of art such as photography, preserved food, art and clothing.

The 873 submissions match the fair's " A Good Thing Growing" theme this year, which is a reference to how the fair is changing after renovations at to the fairgrounds in Roseville.

"[Still Exhibits Hall] is a great way to highlight what makes our county special," said Amy Looney, who is the Public Relations Coordinator for Placer Valley Tourism.

This is the second year since Placer Valley Tourism has taken over the fairgrounds and the construction of the Placer Valley Sports and Events Center.
