Meet US Navy Pilot, Louis Conter who survived Pearl Harbor - He was on the USS Arizona. In the ABC10 Military Appreciation interview, he spoke about the morning of the attack, how he survived, how he saved friends who were brutally burned and dying, how brutal the Japanese were during this time and the many battles he fought after Pearl Harbor. He was shot down twice during rescue missions and how he and his men survived shark attacks. Louis Conter is an amazing patriot. He is the last of six remaining Pear Harbor survivors. Join ABC10, Bonney Plumbing and The Honor Group to help provide life changing service dogs to Veteran’s struggling with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). According to the Veterans Administration, there are over 4 million veterans living with some form of combat-related PTS. Many of these veteran’s find it difficult to return to a normal civilian life. But research shows something as simple as man’s best friend can jumpstart the healing process for our men and women of service…helping to greatly minimize combat related PTSD and TBI.
