MARYSVILLE, Calif .— Three pit bulls will be euthanized after they attacked a 14-year-old boy, according to Marysville Police.

Police say the teen was attacked in the 1400 block of Yuba Street just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found the teen and a man who had helped save the boy, suffering from multiple puncture wounds. The man also broke an ankle while fighting the dogs.

Both the teen and the man are expected to be okay.

The pit bulls' owner, who police believe is homeless, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. One of the three dogs was on a leash, none were licensed or vaccinated.

The owner has surrendered rights to the animals and consented to the euthanasia.

The dogs are currently being held in quarantine for 10 days at the Yuba County ACA before they are euthanized.
