CAUGHT: Deputies capture inmate who escaped after day pass

According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, Noah Jamir Seifuddin was given the day pass and was supposed to report back to the jail on Friday. As his family was set to bring him back, investigators say Seifuddin took off on foot.

Authorities in San Joaquin County are searching for an inmate who failed to return to jail after being granted a day pass.

According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, Noah Jamir Seifuddin was given the day pass and was supposed to report back to the jail on Friday. As his family was set to bring him back, investigators say Seifuddin took off on foot.

Seifuddin was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt and black pants. He was in jail on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and possession of methamphetamine. It is unclear why he was granted a day pass.
