WOODLAND, Calif. — Taylor Macias knew Anthony Bosser since she was in high school.
On Friday, March 15, Bosser was shot and killed near West and Beamer Streets in Woodland. The following day, Stefon Clifford Ceasar, 30, was arrested and charged with murder for Bosser's death.
Macias, Bosser's former girlfriend, as well as other family and friends, gathered at the site where he was killed, where a memorial now stands, remembering the man they say was lost too soon.
"There's things that have happened where I just wanna text him and say, 'Dude, you'll not guess what happened,'" Macias said. "I want his response, but I'm never gonna get that again. None of us will."
What has comforted Macias during this time is Bosser’s dog, Mickey.
"I feel so much more at peace with his family gifting me his dog," Macias said. "I feel like I have Ant with me."
A memorial softball tournament will be held this weekend at Rusch Park in Citrus Heights. It's sold out for those who want to play, but anyone can attend and show their support for the family.
