ORANGEVALE, California — A man in his early twenties was shot and killed during a "family disturbance" in Orangevale, the Sacramento Sheriff's Department said Thursday.
Just after 10 a.m. deputies said they found the young, white man in his early 20s with a gunshot wound to his upper body in a neighborhood on Pershing Avenue.
While the details and motive of the shooting are unclear, Sergeant Tess Deterding said that a young man in his late teens was held for questioning. They have not said if this person is the shooter or if he knows the man who was killed.
The victim's name will be released by the coroner once his family is notified.
