Manteca offers $10,000 for information leading to arrest in recent arsons

Four Manteca homes under construction near Memorial Lane & Heartland Drive were destroyed on July 4 at 5:23 a.m. Another arson took place on June 24 on Woodward Ave.

MANTECA, Calif. — A $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a rash recent arson cases in the city of Manteca.

"We feel there is information out there that for some reason or another people have not put forward to us," said Manteca Police Chief Jodie Estarziau during a press conference on Tuesday.

Estarziau asks the public to look at their surveillance footage on June 24 between midnight and 6 a.m, and on July 4 between 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. 

Four Manteca homes that were under construction near Memorial Lane and Heartland Drive were destroyed on July 4 at 5:23 a.m. 

Another arson took place on June 24 at Woodward Ave.  

Estarziau also asked for those who live in other areas of Manteca that is around construction sites to be on the lookout for anything suspicious to call (209)456-8101. 

The reward money is being offered by the Building Industry Association.
