SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Update: 07/13 12:16 p.m.

A shooting on Marysville Boulevard is now being investigated as a homicide.

Around 9:13 p.m. on Friday, Sacramento police had gone to the 3200 block of Marysville Boulevard, near Arcade Boulevard, in response to a shooting.

One victim, described as a male, was found with at least one gunshot wound. Despite attempts to save his life, the male passed away.

There's no motive for the shooting at this time, but investigators believe this is an isolated incident.

The victim's identity will be released once family is notified.
