STOCKTON, Calif. — A truck stolen from the home of a homicide investigation was found by authorities, Stockton police said. 

The find comes after a homicide investigation on Village Green Drive last Friday, where police said a black GMC stepside truck was stolen from the home.

Police said a woman was killed in a 'severe attack' and later learned a truck had been stolen from the home by a white or Hispanic male.

In an update on the case, police said they found the truck burnt on the 1700 block of Stanford Avenue around 6:47 a.m. on Tuesday.
