SACRAMENTO, Calif — Sacramento Police detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in the 1400 block of Northgate Boulevard as suspicious, the department said Saturday.
The woman, who is believed to have been homeless, was found around 12:26 p.m. Saturday by Sacramento County Park Rangers. Her body was near the America River pedestrian bridge, not far from the Bike Path.
Due to the suspicious circumstances of her death, Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are handling the investigation.
The woman's cause of death has not been determined. Her identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once family members have been notified.
