Deadly head-on crash in Placer County along Foresthill Road

Both directions of Foresthill Road and Portofino Drive were shut down for hours after a fatal crash in the area, but the roads are now reopen.

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — The Placer County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly head-on crash near Foresthill Road and Portofino Drive Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to one death, sheriff's deputies are reporting multiple injuries resulting from the crash.

Both directions of traffic on Foresthill Road have since reopened after a temporary closure.
