PIEDMONT, California — For the second day in a row, Piedmont, a town surrounded by Oakland, was struck by another earthquake.
The USGS says the tremor happened Thursday at 6:11 a.m. PST. The impacts of the earthquake were not immediately known. Earthquakes with a magnitude between 2.5 and 3 are the smallest tremors felt by people.
On Wednesday, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake also hit Piedmont.
