"We need to fill these shelves up!"

ELK GROVE, Calif. — Elk Grove Food Bank Services needs your help.

The nonprofit posted a picture of nearly empty shelves to Facebook asking for help. "We need to fill these shelves up," reads the post.

We need to fill these shelves up! Canned protein, chicken & tuna, are much needed. Peanut Butter is always needed for Seniors & children. Donations can be dropped off M-F from 9-3. Saturday 9-12

The Food Bank Services says they are in need of canned protein, like chicken and tuna. Peanut Butter is always a great donation for children and seniors.

While all donations are welcome, the food bank says they want to make it very clear that they really need canned protein.
