Cooling Centers opening in Citrus Heights during weekend heat wave

The center is available from 1 - 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — With weekend highs expected to hit 110 degrees, the city of Citrus Heights is preparing to help its residents who can't beat the heat. 

The Citrus Heights cooling center is open from 1 - 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, in the Senior Center within the Citrus Heights Community Center located, 6300 Fountain Square Drive.

Water and free internet will be available to the public during the cooling center's hours of operation.
