County Fire believed to be caused by livestock fence

According to a press release from the fire agency, fire officials believe an "improperly installed electric livestock fence unit" caused more than 90,000 acres in Yolo and Napa Counties to burn.

Cal Fire believes a faulty electrical fence is the cause of the County Fire.

According to a press release from the fire agency, fire officials believe an "improperly installed electric livestock fence unit" caused more than 90,000 acres in Yolo and Napa Counties to burn.

The responsible party has been cited by Cal Fire.

The County Fire started in Guinda on Saturday, June 30, 2018. It is currently 89 percent contained. All evacuations have been lifted, yet, there are still several roads closed:

  • County Road 40 at State Highway 16
  • All roads within the fire's perimiter
