The Donnell Fire in Tuolumne County continues to grow and is still only six percent contained.

The latest numbers from the US Forest Service estimates the size of the fire to be at 19,744 acres of land burned. The fire has destroyed 55 structures and another 81 “minor” structures, according to the Forest Service.

More than 200 structures are still being threatened, but fortunately, no injuries or fatalities to civilians or fire personnel have been reported.

Mandatory evacuations are in effect for those residents along State Highway 108 from Eagle Meadow Road to Kennedy Meadows, to include residences and campgrounds. Evacuations have also been ordered along Eagle Meadow Road and the Clark Fork Road area.

An evacuation advisory is in effect for the Mill Creek area.
