ELK GROVE, Calif. — One woman is in critical condition after a four-vehicle collision in Elk Grove on Sunday.
According to Elk Grove police spokesperson Erin Montgomery, the collision happened around 1:20 p.m. as a blue Lexus was heading toward Dwight Road on Laguna.
Police said that the car crossed over the center median and into opposing traffic. In a sort of domino effect, the vehicle hit a green vehicle that then collided with a white Lexus, which then hit a white Toyota.
Four people were sent to the hospital. Two men and a woman were said to be in stable condition while another declined to be taken to the hospital.
The driver of the green vehicle, identified as an adult female, had the critical injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
