Elk Grove woman who walked away from home at midnight found dead, police say

Police say they do not consider her death to be suspicious and did not find any signs of foul play.

ELK GROVE, Calif. — Update 7:45 p.m.

Xiaoyu Li has been found deceased, according to a tweet from Elk Grove Police. Police say they do not consider her death to be suspicious and did not find any signs of foul play.

Police in Elk Grove are searching for a woman who they say walked away from her home early Wednesday morning.

Xiaoyu Li was last seen walking away from her home in the 10300 block of Hite Circle, just east of Willard Parkway and south of Franklin Creek, around midnight. Li is considered to be “at-risk” because she suffers from memory loss and other issues that require medication, police said.

Li is an Asian woman, approximately 5’0” tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and short black and gray hair, based on photos released by police. A clothing description was not given.
