Classes canceled at Fairfield's Vanden High School after threat made

The unspecified threat was made against Fairfield's Vanden High School. Authorities say they don't know where the threat came from or if it is credible.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Vanden High School in Fairfield to canceled Wednesday classes after someone made a threat against the school, district officials said.

The Travis Unified School District and the Fairfield Police Department opened an investigation to determine where the threat came from and if it is credible.

Although the investigation is still taking place, the school district decided to be cautious and cancel classes for Wednesday, March 27. Officials say they plan to reopen on Thursday. All other school sites will remain open, officials say.
