One person is dead after a collision with a vehicle along a busy road in Folsom.
According to the Folsom Police Department, around 6 a.m. a woman was hit near the intersection of Blue Ravine road and Big Valley Road. The driver did not flee, instead calling 9-1-1 himself, to alert police that he hit someone or something.
Police determined that the driver was not under the influence, nor was he distracted. The driver is cooperating with police.
Police are asking commuters to avoid the area of Blue Ravine Road between Manseau and Parkway.
