The group that protested hate speech by a Sacramento area pastor was back outside his church Sunday morning.

Members of the Love is Love Movement spent their Sunday outside the Verity Baptist Church again after learning Pastor Roger Jimenez was hosting a Red Hot Preacher's Conference. The gathering included pastors from around the country who agreed with Jimenez's sentiments earlier this summer when he told his congregation the 49 people killed at a gay nightclub in Orlando "they deserve what they got."

In a press release, Love is Love Movement said along with the recent pro-Nazi rally at the Capitol building, Sacramento has been rampant with hate speech and hate crimes recently.

"Love is Love Movement is taking a stand. This event is to spread a message that Sacramento is a place of love and affirmation for all people, and that hate speech and hate crimes will not be tolerated in our community," The release said.
