New Natomas breakfast and brunch spot Huckleberry's opens its doors

Huckleberry's is open from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.

Looking for a new favorite brunch or breakfast place? A new Louisiana-themed spot has you covered.

Located at 2580 Arena Blvd., Suite 100 in Natomas, the fresh addition is called Huckleberry's, and is the first Sacramento outpost of the California chain.

On the menu, look for the Mardia Gras beignets — deep-fried dough fritters served with vanilla cream and huckleberry, peach and strawberry fruit topping. Those looking for lunch might try the crab cakes Benedict or the Creole style catfish served over jambalaya rice. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a 3.5-star rating out of 28 reviews on Yelp so far, Huckleberry's is still finding its feet, but it's early days.

Tonia G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 11, wrote, "The strawberry lemonade was so good and they serve it in a huge sugar rimmed mason jar with fresh strawberries. Then I had had the fried green tomatoes which were hecka good."

But Yelper Donovan. wrote, "They still need to work out some kinks; mostly with the staff and kitchen in delivering the food precisely on what the menu states. ... The prices are fair, portions are a respectable size, and service can be hit or miss."

Head on over to check it out: Huckleberry's is open from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily.
