All lanes of I-5 southbound are shutdown near the Highway 50 junction after CHP said a car started leaking fuel on the freeway and became fully engulfed.

The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Monday. The Sacramento Fire Department said fuel leaked throughout the lanes and ended up heading to a storm drain. A hazmat team was called out to clean up and divert traffic to Highway 50.

No injuries have been reported.
