The South Land Park Neighborhood Association met for the first time since the grizzly, quadruple homicide one week ago.

The regularly scheduled neighborhood association meeting was attended by roughly 100 people. The topic...Salvador Vasquez-Oliva being charged with allegedly killing his wife Angelique Vasquez, his children Alvin Vasquez and Mia Vasquez, and niece Ashley Coleman.

The meeting was held at Pony Express Elementary School and as more days have passed, more people stop by the home to pay their respects.

"He was a good friend," said Vincent Mosher, a classmate.

Mosher went to school with 11-year-old Alvin Vasquez..

"We used to play outside together and have lunch together," said Mosher.

As many went to pay their respect, like Mosher, so did Steven Gaddis who was there with his two children.

"If something like this happens so close to my house," said Gaddis. "It's just goes to show you don't know who's moving in and out of the neighborhood."

Some of these types of worries and fears were addressed in the neighborhood meeting.

"I've never been so close to such a horrific crime," said Richard Wake, a resident.

During the meeting, a moment of silence was held for the victims and police mentioned that the crime was targeted. However, it's something that's impacted not only this community, but friends and family of the victims including Lisa Schroeder who used to work with Angelique Vasquez.

"She was always so upbeat and so spirited," said Schroeder.
