If you still haven't seen "The Bachelorette" finale yet, then prepare to be spoiled, because one of Manteca's own just won it all and his parents want to talk about it.
We'll save you from the recaps of the episode and get straight to it: Becca Kufrin gave the final rose to Garrett Yrigoyen.
If you're a fan of The Bachelorette, then David and Barbara Yrigoyen and their house might look familiar to you.
"The first thing I remember when he came in," Garrett's father, David recalls, "he was around that corner there. His smile on his face and his energy and her, too. I knew that he was pretty excited and happy for something."
David and Barbara made an appearance on the hit ABC show in July during an episode where the bachelorette goes on dates in the contestants' hometowns.
"Actually, when they walked out of the door that night," Barbara said, "we both looked at each other and said, 'If she does pick him, this could work because our whole family gravitated to her.'"
Garrett was born and raised in Manteca and graduated from Sierra High School. He lives in Reno now, but his parents still live in Manteca. Part of the hometown date was shot at his family's Manteca home. The other part was spent planting tomatoes on a family farm over in Brentwood.
The nation watched as Garrett took home the final rose and a fiancee. It was a sigh of relief for the parents who had to keep this under wraps for almost three months.
"We're just glad that it's over with, that we can actually spill the beans," David said.
Barbara added that she's ecstatic. "We're over the moon with it and we're just hoping, we feel very strong that this is going to be a really good thing for both of them."
As mom and dad tell all, ABC10 found out neither Garrett nor his parents had watched much of the show before.
