20 year old dead, two injured in Modesto shooting, police say

Modesto police officials said there was an argument in the court before the shooting, though it's unclear what the altercation was about.

MODESTO, Calif — Update: 6:35 p.m.

Modesto police have identified the victim in the Sunday afternoon shooting as Robbie Hull, age 20, of Modesto. 

An 18-year-old male and adult female in her 40's were also shot. They were treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One person died and two people were injured Sunday afternoon after a shooting broke out following an argument among a group of people, Modesto Police officials said.

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Lita Court in Modesto's Shackelford neighborhood, according to police. Modesto police officials said there was an argument in the court before shots rang out, though it's unclear what the altercation was about.

Three people were struck and rushed to the hospital, where one of the victims was later pronounced dead.
