A monorail car caught fire at the California State Fair on Saturday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m. an electrical brush short-circuited underneath the monorail track causing a fire. Sacramento City Fire said the small electrical fire was contained to just one car and the operator was the only passenger on the train.
The electrical brush assembly, not the train, caught fire. Nobody was injured from the incident, but the monorail will be closed for the remainder of Saturday.
