SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Stella Squires, 6, is proud to pose with her Summer Reading medal after powering through 25 books in just five days. Summer isn't over yet and she already won the medal for the entire program!

Squires' father, Nick, tweeted his daughter's accomplishment and said, "This summer the Sacramento public library announced their summer reading program, offering a medal to children who read 25 books this summer. Stella earned the medal within 5 days; we’ve been calling her Matilda."

Her favorite books are the Stella Bat series, the Princess in Black series and Fancy Nancy. She is also reading Charlotte's web now with her mom. 

The Sacramento Public Library's summer reading program is open to all ages. You can track your reading all summer long and win prizes along the way. 

Stella has a passion for reading and her parents are very proud to see her happy with her medal.
