The Nevada County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding 48-year-old Donald J. Nader.

"We believe the disappearance is suspicious in nature and he may be a victim of foul play," said Lt. Rov Bringolf with the Nevada County Sheriff's Department.

Crews from different agencies, including the California Department of Justice, assisted Nevada County investigators, Wednesday, in looking for evidence that could help them figure out what happened to the Grass Valley man.

According to Bringolf, the last reported sighting of Nader was back in the late summer/early fall of 2016.

"We’re trying to determine if this guy is just missing or has something worse happened," said Bringolf.

In June, the Nevada County Sheriff Office's Narcotics Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration served a search warrant at Nader's home on Lawrence Way in Grass Valley. According to Bringolf, investigators found guns and drugs at that time.

"Mrs. Nader is absconding from contact with us. She has several warrants of arrest for charges stemming from that June contact out here, so we're looking for her as well. We're looking for both for different reasons," explained Bringolf.

If you have any information regarding Nader's whereabouts, you are asked to call the Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit at 530-265-1263.
