Power restored following outage in Solano County| Update

The outage came on what was expected to be the hottest day of the year so far.

VACAVILLE, Calif. — A power outage in Solano County left more than 3,500 Pacific Gas and Electric customers without electricity Saturday, the utility company reports.

The outage was first reported around 11:36 a.m. Saturday. At the time, it impacted 6,200 customers.

Power was restored by 3 p.m. According to PG&E, the cause of the outage is under investigation.

Areas south east of Vacaville, near the community of Elmira, were impacted the most.

The outage came on what forecasters expect would be the hottest day so far this year in northern California. High temperatures in the valley are expected to reach into the upper 90s Saturday.
