A 19-year-old male was arrested on making criminal threats towards a high school student, said the Roseville Police Department.
Police arrested Trevor Joseph Marshall, of Roseville, on making criminal threats, suspicion of possessing and transporting an assault weapon, and having a loaded firearm.
On Monday, at approximately 12:15 p.m. the department received information about a suspect who made threats on social media towards a student at Adelante High School. When officers responded to the school, students had already been released during their normal school day.
The investigation led them to a restaurant parking lot on Douglas Boulevard at Sierra College Boulevard and found Marshall, taking him into custody. While searching his car, police found an AR-15-type firearm.
Police also say that there were no "direct" threats made against the school itself and there were no other suspects.
Marshall has been booked into the South Placer Jail.
