Roseville police are asking for the public's help after discovering 50 vehicle break ins and dozens of windows smashed and personal belongings stolen from those cars.

"To have 50 in the night is a pretty unprecedented number," said department spokesperson officer Rob Baquera.

According to a Facebook post by the Roseville Police Department, around midnight Friday, June 20, the department started receiving reports of burglaries in the area of Gibson Drive and Roseville Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers found some 30 cars broken into. Residents reported items such as luggage and money stolen from their cars.

Another 20 vehicle break ins happened in other places throughout the city that night, police say.

"It's likely that somebody had to have heard something or seen something and that's where we need the publics help," Baquera said.

If you have any information about these burglaries, contact the Roseville Police Department at 916-774-5000.
