Memorial for fallen Sacramento Police Officer Tara O'Sullivan

The Sacramento Police Department will hold a memorial in Roseville on Thursday, June 27.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — An outpouring of support for the Sacramento Police Department and the family of fallen Officer Tara O'Sullivan will continue Thursday at a memorial organized by the department.

Officer O'Sullivan was shot and killed by a gunman while responding to a domestic disturbance call at a home in North Sacramento. The 26-year-old was a recent graduate of the city's police academy and earned her badge in December 2018.

MEMORIAL DETAILS

10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27

Where:
Location 1: Bayside Church Adventure Campus
6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville, CA.

Doors open at 9 a.m. The main church will be for the law enforcement memorial and an additional building will be available for the public. 

Location 2: Destiny Christian Church

6900 Destiny Drive, Rocklin, CA

Doors open at 9 a.m. This location will be for the public. 

PROCESSION DETAILS 

The procession will leave Bayside Church, get onto the freeway and take the Marysville exit, go south on Marysville to do a lap around the station that O'Sullivan worked out of - located at 3550 Marysville Blvd - then go eastbound on Arcade to get back on the 80 Business Loop and finish the drive to Elk Grove. 

"We are asking the community to come out and support (Tara's) family honor Tara," Sgt. Vance Chandler said. "Line the streets, line the overpasses to show your support."
