Sacramento's popular brunch restaurant Bacon & Butter will soon be serving their staple 'Kitchen Sink' and signature strawberry flapjacks at a new spot.

The Tahoe Park eatery is opening a second location in the old Formoli's Bistro, at 3839 J St., in East Sacramento, according to Bacon & Butter spokesperson, Rodney Blackwell.

The 2,600 square-foot location will "pretty much be the same" as the original Bacon & Butter with a few differences, such as a greater emphasis on grab-and-go counter services for customers who don't have time to sit and eat.

The second location will also have a new feature — an outdoor patio to enjoy.

Blackwell explained that the restaurant's owner, Billy Zoellin, had been thinking of expanding his restaurant for some time and was offered an opportunity he couldn't pass up. There is also a possibility a third location is in the works, according to Blackwell.

The East Sacramento location is expected to open around September of 2018.
