SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A fire that started in a dumpster spread to a commercial building in South Sacramento, Tuesday morning.
Crews were called out to the scene at the Quality Tune-Up auto shop located at Fruitridge Road and Martin Luther King Kr. Boulevard around 4:20 a.m.
Investigators say the fire started in the dumpster and then spread to the building. They have not yet determined how the fire was started. A preliminary damage estimate on the business has not yet been made.
The fire caused authorities to temporarily shut down Fruitridge Road in the area while crews doused the flames. No injuries were reported.
