Investigators believe the driver of the Suburban was heading eastbound on Folsom Blvd. and hit the bicyclist in the roadway. Afterward, the driver lost control and swerved off the road before coming to a stop at a tree.

Neither the driver or the people inside the Suburban had any injuries, police said.

According to Sacramento police, the driver didn't show any signs of impairment, and speed is not considered to be a factor at this time.

The bicyclist has not yet been identified.
