Historic aircraft offering flights in Sacramento

The "Tin Goose" flew its first flight on Dec. 1, 1928. Ninety years later it's offering flights to those who want to experience the "golden age" of aviation.

Legroom, green and yellow padded seating...welcome aboard the Ford Tri-Motor 5-AT!

The plane lovingly referred to as the "Tin Goose" flew its first flight on Dec. 1, 1928 and now resides at the Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, Ohio.

Thanks to the collaboration of the museum and the Experimental Aircraft Association, people all over the country can hop aboard and experience one of the first mass-produced airliners.

"Revenues from the Ford Tri-Motor tour help cover maintenance and operations costs for the aircraft and aid our ambition to keep the “Tin Goose” flying for many years to come," EAA says on its website.

The classic plane will be in town through Sunday, March 24. You can purchase tickets here
