Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg is 18 months into a four year term.

He has recently been at the forefront of trying to, as he says, “keep the lid on” the Stephon Clark protests around the city.

So far, he feels he’s been able to help do that.

ABC10's Walt Gray sat down with Mayor Steinberg at Temple Coffee in Midtown to talk about issues the city is facing. In part one of his interview with the mayor, the two talked about the city post Stephon Clark's shooting death.

Today, they talked about homelessness, his battle with the Federal government over being a sanctuary city, the latest on MLS soccer in Sacramento and his plans to run for another office post mayoral life.

We also asked him if he has any regrets so far. He doesn't.
