South Watt Avenue closed after bicyclist killed in hit and run

As of 7:45 a.m., both directions of South Watt Avenue, from Fruitridge to Osage, are closed. Police are asking commuters to use an alternative route.

A bicyclist was killed Wednesday morning after a deadly hit and run, police said.

According to a Tweet by the Sacramento Police Department, a car collided with a cyclist, before 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28.

As of 7:45 a.m., both directions of South Watt Avenue, from Fruitridge to Osage, are closed. Police are asking commuters to use an alternative route.

There is no suspect information at this time.
