Spirit offering free flight to Las Vegas from Sacramento, but there's a catch

Would you be willing to take an impromptu trip?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — To help celebrate the launch of its nonstop service from Sacramento to Las Vegas, Spirit Airlines wants to send you to Sin City for free.

But there's a catch. You have to be in Terminal B of Sacramento International Airport with your bags packed by 6 a.m. Thursday, June 20. Guests who arrive ready to go will be entered into a drawing for an "immediate vacation." At 7:30 a.m., the drawing closes and 15 minutes later, a winner and their guest will be selected for a free, three-night trip. All hotel accommodations will be provided by Spirit Airlines.

Spirit Airlines chose, Thursday, June 20, because that's the day they take off with their nonstop service to Law Vegas, with more than 20 connecting destinations available, as well.

With their service at Sacramento International Airport,Sacramento now becomes the fifth California city to offer flights through Spirit Airlines. Earlier this year, Spirit announced it would begin flying out of Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) on June 20, as well. The airlines currently already flies out of San Diego International Airport (SAN), Oakland International Airport (OAK), and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

EDITOR'S NOTE: The date of the promotion was incorrectly stated in the original article. It has since been updated to the correct date, Thursday, June 20.
