If you use the Tower Bridge for your commute, you can expect delays for the next two months.
According to a press release from the city of West Sacramento, Caltrans' project will require one-lane closures and full closures of the bridge periodically from May 28 to July 27, 2018, for inspections and to replace various aspects of the lifting mechanisms of the Tower Bridge.
Vehicles will be detoured to and from US 50 and pedestrians via the I Street bridge.
Night bridge work with full closures will take place from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. Monday, June 11 to Friday, June 15 and again from Saturday, June 30, to Sunday, July 1.
Day work on the bridge with full closures will take place from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on July 18, 19 and 23. The remaining working days from will require daytime lane closures.
