See the best ways to donate to California wildfire recovery

October wildfires are impacting Californians across the state. The governor's Office of Emergency Services has a list of ways you can help.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Wildfires and power outages are impacting families and business owners across California. 

The need for help is great and still growing as fire weather conditions continue. 

The state's Office of Emergency Services said financial donations are the quickest way to help. They provided this list of charitable organizations:

Kincade Fire: How to Help

Sonoma County – Resilience Fund

Tick Fire: How to Help

Southern California Wildfire Relief

United Way of Greater Los Angeles – Disaster Relief Fund

The Attorney General's office cautions against charity scams and posted these helpful tips for donating

SANTA ROSA, Calif - Firefighters battled destructive wildfires north of San Francisco and in western neighborhoods of Los Angeles on Monday, trying to beat back flames that forced thousands to flee their homes.
