Sliger Fire: Evacuations issued for Auburn Lake Trails area

Another wildfire in Placer County has caused evacuations and road closures near Forest Hill Rd. and Sliger Mine Rd.

CHP has issued evacuation orders and road closures for the area and advised residents to follow the orders or they will not be allowed through the closures.

Caltrans has also issued a warning to drivers that there is no access to Sliger Mine Rd. from Highway 193.

Placer County Sheriff, El Dorado County Sheriff, CHP and CalFire are all responding to the area.

According to CAL FIRE, the so-called Sliger Fire is burning at a moderate rate of speed and, as of 9 p.m. on Sept. 4, is 20 percent contained. For information on the fire, evacuation centers, and emergency services, residents should contact the El Dorado County Sheriff.
