2 dead, 1 critical after stabbing in South Sacramento | Updated

According to Sacramento police officials, two groups of people were fighting near 21st Street and 65th Avenue when the stabbing happened.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Update 7 p.m.:

Two of the three victims who were stabbed during a fight in South Sacramento have died, police confirmed Friday evening.

The two who died were the victims who were first dropped off at UC Davis Medical Center, police said. The third victim remains in serious but stable condition. The identities of the victims will be released pending notification of family.

It is unclear what prompted the fight nor have police said how many suspects may be involved.

Sacramento police are investigating a triple-stabbing Friday morning that sent three people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to Sacramento police officials, two groups of people were fighting near 21st Street and 65th Avenue when the stabbing happened.

Two of the victims suffering life-threatening injuries drove themselves to UC Davis Medical Center. The third victim, who is also suffering from life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby hospital by first responders.

There is no suspect information at this time.
