The Stockton California Highway Patrol are in an ongoing investigating involving a fatal collision where a bicyclist was struck by a bus.
The incident happened on Friday, Aug. 17, at nearly 2 p.m., where officers responded to the scene on Kettleman Land and School Street in Lodi.
The initial investigation determined the bicyclist was traveling in the westbound lanes of Kettleman Lane through stopped traffic on the right side of the school bus. The bus then struck the bicyclist in the left turn lane.
The bicyclist was transported to the San Joaquin General Hospital where he later died.
The investigation led to no alcohol or drugs being a factor in the collision, but anyone with further information is urged to contact the police at (209) 938-4800.
