The Latest: County Fire containment at 65 percent

According to Cal Fire, containment for the County Fire is now at 55 percent, with just under 89,000 acres burned.

Update: The wildfire, east of Lake Berryessa, is now 90,288 acres and 65 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. There were 96 structures threatened with 16 being destroyed and three damaged.

Evacuations are still in effect.

ORIGINAL STORY

The wildfire fire affecting both Yolo and Napa Counties is now 42 percent contained with 88,375 acres burned, according to Cal Fire.

Evacuation and road closures are still in effect.

Mandatory Evacuations:

  • West of State Highway 16, to Berryessa Knoxville Road, South of Old County Road 40, and North of County Road 53.
  • West of State Highway 16 to the Yolo/ Lake County Line, North of County Road 40, and South of the Yolo County line.

Road Closures:

  • Berryessa Knoxville Road, from the Pope Creek Bridge to the Napa/Lake County line.
  • State Highway 16 has been closed between State Highway 20 and Rumsey Hall.

On Thursday evening, news came from Cal Fire says that the fire has destroyed nine structures, with an additional 110 structures still under threat. No injuries or deaths have yet been reported.
