Sacramento sheriff releases video of suspect vehicle from 2017 deadly shooting

The newly released video stems from the 2017 shooting death of Ju'an Parker, 24, in the Parkway neighborhood of South Sacramento, Sheriff's Sgt. Tess Deterding.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office released traffic camera footage Monday that showing a vehicle investigators believe may have been driven by the suspect in a fatal 2017 shooting.

The newly released video stems from the 2017 shooting death of 24-year-old Ju'an Parker in the Parkway neighborhood of South Sacramento, Sheriff's Sgt. Tess Deterding said in a press release.

Deputies found Parker and another 24-year-old both suffering from gunshot wounds after 10:15 p.m. on June 12, 2017 in the 5000 block of J Parkway. Parker was found in the driver seat of his red sedan which crashed into a home.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office released new video and details stemming from a 2017 fatal shooting in south Sacramento.

The unidentified passenger was taken to the hospital and survived his injuries.

The video released by the sheriff's office shows a dark colored sedan stopped at a red light at the intersection of Florin Road and East Parkway. Moments later, Parker's red sedan drives through the intersection.

After Parker's car clears the intersection, the suspect car turns right and appears to follow him. What happened with the suspect car after that is still unclear.
