Thieves targeted a jewelry store in Land Park, but it's what they left behind that has people thinking "are you for real?"

"How can you do that to somebody?" asked Judy Montgomery. "That's what I don't understand. It just makes me sick."

Montgomery has been running her family-owned Gold and Silver shop for years, but recently she experienced a first for the business.

"I can't believe that they stood there, laughed with me, talked with me, and then stole."

The whole thing was caught on camera.

"They grabbed the biggest chain out of there, the most expensive chain."

A $4,000 gold chain swiped within seconds.

"They had been in before, so it's not like I felt uncomfortable with them at all," explained Montgomery. "They came in and they said that they had some property that they wanted to see about selling."

Here is where the story gets interesting. When people bring in items to sell for cash at Judy's store, you have to leave some things with her, including copies of your driver's license and finger prints.

No Montgomery is asking for the public's help. She hopes someone will recognize the two men in the surveillance video.

"It makes me a little bitter, a little angry, but I can't let that take my passion to people away, and it's really hard."

Montgomery tells ABC10 that they have installed new cabinets to prevent this from happening again.

If you recognize either of these men, call the Sacramento Police Department.
