Kings to host California Classic Summer League this summer

Four teams — Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat — will play six games featuring rookies selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, sophomores and athletes competing to make NBA and G League regular season rosters.

NBA basketball is going to start a little earlier than usual in Sacramento this year.

The Sacramento Kings announced in a press release they plan to host the inaugural California Classic Summer League. Four teams — Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat — will play six games featuring rookies selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, sophomores and athletes competing to make NBA and G League regular season rosters.

Play begins July 2 and will run through July 5. No games will be played on Independence Day.

On Monday, May 14, Kings' season ticket holders have early access to tickets. General admission tickets go on-sale Thursday, May 17.

During the California Classic Summer League, a Fan Zone outside the arena will feature games, live entertainment and post-game events.
