2018 NFL Scouting Combine concludes with safeties workout

The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine concluded Monday with workouts for the safeties at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The last line of defense in games, the safeties were the final group of athletes to work out in front of scouts, coaches and decision-makers during the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Monday afternoon.

The safeties went through the general drills (40-yard dash and bench press,) and also, position-specific tests, and results confirmed a combination of speed and strength from those athletes tasked with making plays across all levels of the field during games.

Here is a look at the top-performing safeties at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine:

1. Troy Apke (Penn State) 4.35 seconds

T2. Justin Reid (Stanford) 4.40 seconds

T2. Natrell Jamerson (Wisconsin) 4.40 seconds

4. Dane Cruikshank (Arizona) 4.42 seconds

T5. Godwin Igwebuike (Northwestern) 4.45 seconds

T5. Tre Flowers (Oklahoma State) 4.45 seconds
